When I first started seeing Abbey, I was just a kid without the tools to verbalize the pool of anxiety and depression I felt. For years, I felt like I was drowning in my own thoughts and emotions. Having a therapist isn't a magic fix-all, but it can give you the tools and confidence to actively begin healing. I had never had a space where I felt safe and understood, and so bottling up my feelings was a hard habit to unlearn, even when in therapy. With her guidance, I began to open up about the traumas and struggles that had been weighing on me for years. It was scary and painful at times, but Abbey has always been there to support me and help me navigate through my healing journey. Through her compassionate and insightful approach, she helped me to begin the process of healing and finding peace within myself. Talking to Abbey has given me a voice in my own life. I am so grateful for her and the work that we have done together, and I know that I wouldn't be where I am today without her help.

Words can’t describe how much Abbey has impacted my life. I struggle with depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation from time to time and I don’t struggle with self harm anymore thanks to my therapist. Abbey helps me open up and talk about my feelings and thoughts without judgement. She is my safe space. Abbey helps me see things in an entirely different perspective. After every session I leave her office feeling refreshed and clear-minded. I will forever be grateful that she is in my life.

The work I have done with Abbey has undoubtably changed the trajectory of my life. At the start of my journey with her I was crippled by anxiety, insecurity, and fear that stood in the way of every decision I had to make. I had a hopeless and negative view of the world and my own future. I had hit my absolute lowest. The version of me that cried on Abbey’s couch for the first time two years ago would not believe the person I am today. I have solo traveled internationally, moved out of my parents house, and am about to begin a masters degree in counseling psychology to be a THERAPIST! I still can’t believe I’ve found the confidence to go after a life I didn’t even know was attainable. None of this was possible without the hard work and healing I have done by Abbey’s side. She has shown me what it means to be a healer and I aspire to affect change in the manner she does. Our mind is our greatest tool and with some guidance and love anyone can heal from their past and forge a future they’re proud of.
