When I first started seeing Abbey, I was just a kid without the tools to verbalize the pool of anxiety and depression I felt. For years, I felt like I was drowning in my own thoughts and emotions. Having a therapist isn't a magic fix-all, but it can give you the tools and confidence to actively begin healing. I had never had a space where I felt safe and understood, and so bottling up my feelings was a hard habit to unlearn, even when in therapy. With her guidance, I began to open up about the traumas and struggles that had been weighing on me for years. It was scary and painful at times, but Abbey has always been there to support me and help me navigate through my healing journey.
